This book gives a detailed, if very British, account of knowing and maintaining the Land Rover Defender. Writers of automotive manuals should take some technical writing lessons from those in the software realm. Describing a multi-step procedure in the context of a paragraph is at best, unappealing. Some of the tasks described are very advanced however, and this is the book’s strong area. It is very ADVANCED. If you already know your Rover inside and out, go for this book (especially if you’re familliar with British slang and Local Color), but others should beware. As side notes, this is not a long book, nor is it color.
Specially taken step-by-step photographs cover bodywork repairs, mechanical restoration, interiors, electrics and more! Detailed captions and text explain everything from body removal, gearbox troubleshooting and welding tears, to brakes and suspension, steering joint replacements, and re-covering seats in your Land Rover Defender.
All dismantling, overhauling and reassembly procedures for a land rover defender are detailed step by step.
